BLUE MURDER To Tour Japan In April?
January 27, 2004Guitarist John Sykes (WHITESNAKE, THIN LIZZY) will reportedly play a few dates in Japan as BLUE MURDER in April. It is not presently clear which musicians will make up the rest of Sykes' touring band.
According to the Japanese promoter Creativeman, BLUE MURDER will play the following shows:
Apr. 16 – Osaka, JPN @ TBA
Apr. 17 - Nagoya, JPN @ TBA
Apr. 20 - Tokyo, JPN @ TBA
Apr. 21 - Kawasaki, JPN @ TBA
BLUE MURDER's original recording lineup featured Sykes alongside bassist Tony Franklin and VANILLA FUDGE/ex-OZZY OSBOURNE drummer Carmine Appice. The much-acclaimed group released three albums in the late '80s/early '90s — 1989's "Blue Murder", 1993's "Nothin' But Trouble" and the 1994 live tribute to THIN LIZZY's Phil Lynott, "Screaming Blue Murder" — before calling it a day.
